The AT-X 300AF II provides high definition and
excellent sharpness, even when wide open at f2.8. The external finish is totally new, enhancing
its classy look. The number of diaphragm blades has been increased from seven to nine,
providing a more circular aperture which in turn gives more even illumination across the frame,
reduced diffraction effects at small apertures and more pleasing appearance to out of focus
backgrounds.
